Word is that Disney is planning on remaking the hit movie “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” which originally released in 1989.
The movie is about a scientist, Rick Moranis as Wayne Szalinski, who accidently shrinks his children while performing an experiment.
The movie was such a hit that a sequel movie was made, titled “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid.”
Another, straight to DVD, movie was also released based on the same scenario. The movie was titled “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves.”
The Internets Rumor Mill is grinding very fine meal today and the big story is a Disney project to remake the 1989 family comedy in a 21st century version that’s much more edgy and culturally diverse starring Rahul Mahajan and Crystal Bowersox. Mahajan, who recently wed model Dimpy Ganguly on the Indian reality TV show Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega, is one of the leading angora goat breeders in the world. He and Bowersox will reanimate the roles previously played by Rick Moranis and Marcia Strassman.
